Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi is reportedly ready to leave the club during the January transfer window in search of regular first-team football.
The 27-year-old Spain international has struggled for playing time under Mikel Arteta this season, having fallen down the pecking order in north London.

Zubimendi joined the Gunners from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2025 in a deal worth around £60m.

The midfielder initially established himself as an important part of Arteta’s side, but his situation has changed considerably over the past year.
Now, a major update on Zubimendi’s future has emerged ahead of the January transfer window.
Zubimendi could leave Arsenal on loan in January

According to Graeme Bailey of TEAMtalk, Zubimendi is prepared to consider leaving Arsenal in January in an attempt to get his career back on track.
The Spain international is understood to be frustrated by his lack of regular playing time, with several European giants already made aware of his situation.
It is claimed that seven clubs have been informed of Zubimendi’s potential availability, including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have also been alerted to the possibility of signing the midfielder, while Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool are aware of the situation.
However, Liverpool are believed to be less likely to pursue a move, despite previously showing serious interest in the Spaniard before his move to Arsenal.
Arsenal are aware of Zubimendi’s position and are preparing for the possibility of receiving offers when the transfer window reopens.

A loan move could reportedly be considered, although any potential agreement would need to make financial sense for the Gunners.
The north London club invested heavily in Zubimendi just over a year ago and would be reluctant to suffer a significant financial loss on the midfielder.
Zubimendi has yet to start a Premier League match this season, with Arteta preferring other options in midfield.
The summer arrival of Bruno Guimaraes has increased competition for places, while Myles Lewis-Skelly has also moved ahead of the Spaniard in the pecking order.
Zubimendi was a regular member of Arsenal’s Premier League title-winning squad last season, making 38 league appearances during his debut campaign.
However, he has found opportunities significantly more limited this term.
The former Real Sociedad star has made 10 appearances across all competitions this season, starting just twice, both in the Carabao Cup.
With the January transfer window approaching, Zubimendi could now face an important decision over his future at the Emirates.
Arsenal have not yet agreed to sell the midfielder, but the growing interest from across Europe could lead to developments in the coming weeks.
