Report from Brazil: Arsenal Contact Star Midfielder’s Camp – Real Madrid & Barcelona Also Interested

The Brazil international is one of Newcastle's most important players, and the club is reportedly not willing to allow him to leave this summer.

Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte claims that Arsenal are seriously interested in signing Guimarães.

The Gunners view the 27-year-old as an ideal replacement for Jorginho, who is set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The same report states that Arsenal made contact with Guimarães's camp last week to discuss a potential transfer.

However, Arsenal are not alone in their pursuit of the Brazilian, with both Real Madrid and Barcelona also believed to be interested in securing his services.
