ORNSTEIN: Arsenal attacker suffers hamstring injury in MAJOR blow — 23-year-old set to miss over four weeks

Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli is set to be sidelined for over four weeks after suffering a hamstring injury, according to David Ornstein.


During Arsenal's 2-0 defeat against Newcastle at St James' Park on Wednesday night, Martinelli went down injured and was unable to continue.

Early indications suggested he had suffered a hamstring injury, sparking concern among Arsenal fans.

Now, the highly reliable David Ornstein of The Athletic reports that the 23-year-old is expected to be out for more than a month.

The Brazil international's injury is yet another major blow for Mikel Arteta's side.

As a result, Martinelli could potentially miss Arsenal's next five league games as well as both legs of the Champions League round of 16.
