After two devastating draws that has seen Arsenal suffer massively in the Premier League title, the Gunners turn their attention to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals as they host red hot Crystal Palace at Emirates Stadium tonight.

Mikel Arteta's men are looking to bounce back from that extremely disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Everton by advancing to the semi-finals of this competition for the first time since 2021/22.

After a disappointing start to the season for the Eagles, they're unbeaten in their last five including a 3-1 win over rivals Brighton and three draws against Villa, Newcastle and Manchester City.

How they got here

Palace reached the 4th round via a 4-0 win at home to Norwich. A brace of 2-1 away victories in rounds 3 and 4, first against QPR and then at Villa.

Meanwhile Arsenal put five past League One side Bolton in Round 3 before putting three past Preston last time out.

What the managers said

Mikel Arteta admitted that winning the Carabao Cup can help to start a repetitive theme of trophies saying:

"I think it brings belief, trust, positive energy; touching a cup, beating someone in the semi-final, beating someone in the final, it generates that energy and I think it creates that right path to go and do something else, especially because of the timing and when the competition is played in this country, it gets the momentum going."

However, for Crystal Palace's trophy chances, boss Oliver Glasner admitted:

"It is far away. We still have many games to play, but it would be a big achievement for all of us to win at the Emirates and it's not a place that Crystal Palace is winning every year, so it would be a big achievement."
