FROM BRAZIL: Arsenal open negotiations to sign LA Galaxy attacker
Arsenal have begun talks to sign LA Galaxy star player Gabriel Pec, according to a surprise report coming from Brazil.
The 23-year-old attacker is the subject of interest from multiple clubs around Europe. CaughtOffside claimed two days ago that Arsenal and Liverpool are monitoring the Brazilian's situation. There is also interest from other leagues.
Now Brazil outlet RTI Esporte suggests that Arsenal have opened negotiations to sign Gabriel Pec from MLS side LA Galaxy. The Gunners are said to have identified the highly-rated winger as a good "market opportunity".
The report states that Spurs and Newcastle also have shown an interest in the player, although they have just made an approach to the player's agent Carlos Leite.
LA Galaxy signed the Brazilian player from Vasco da Gama in January and his contract with the MLS club runs until 2028.
So far this season, Gabriel Pec has scored 21 goals and provided 18 assists in 40 competitive matches.
