The 23-year-old has previously been linked with a potential summer move to several top European clubs, including Arsenal and FC Barcelona.

Recent reports from Spain have claimed that Atletico Madrid are seriously considering a move for Garcia this summer.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly willing to send Garcia back to Espanyol for another season before integrating him into Diego Simeone's squad in the summer of 2026 — a deal that would likely benefit Espanyol.

Now, Joan Garcia's agent, Andy Bara, has exclusively spoken to daily-arsenal.com about the latest developments regarding the goalkeeper's future.

When specifically asked about Arsenal's reported interest, Bara said:

"There is interest, but now the new guy (Andrea Berta) has arrived, and we will see what happens. At the moment, we are waiting for developments."

However, the Gunners are not alone in the race to secure the Spanish goalkeeper's signature.

"We are currently in talks with up to 10 clubs, and we will make sure to choose the best option for the player's career. There is also interest from a few big clubs in Germany," Bara stated.

The race for Espanyol's star goalkeeper seems to be heating up, with multiple clubs across Europe likely to face stiff competition to secure his services.
