Arsenal are reportedly set to open talks regarding a new deal for Bukayo Saka.
The 23-year-old is nearing a return to the pitch after suffering a serious hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined since the end of December.
Saka's current contract at Arsenal expires in 2027, and the club is eager to secure him with a new deal.
Sami Mokbel of BBC Sport now reports that Arsenal are preparing to open formal contract talks with the England international.
The club is set to engage in discussions with Saka's representatives over a contract extension, with securing his long-term future being one of their top priorities this summer.
Initial talks have already taken place, and further substantive steps in the negotiations are expected soon.
In addition to Saka, several other players at the club have contracts expiring within the next two years.
Thomas Partey and Jorginho are both out of contract at the end of the season, while Gabriel and William Saliba's current deals run through 2027.
Mokbel also claims that Arsenal have held talks with Gabriel over a new contract amid interest from several clubs in Saudi Arabia.
