Arsenal weighing up move for ex-Man Utd sporting director
Arsenal are considering a move for Dan Ashworth, according to reports in England.
A few days ago, the 53-year-old left Manchester United which came as a real surprise.
The former Man Utd sporting director is now available on the market and it seems that he is already attracting interest from other clubs in England.
The Sun claims Dan Ashworth has now become a target for Arsenal following their search for a new sporting director to replace Edu. Arsenal are looking at several alternatives and Ashworth's sudden availability has put the Gunners on red alert.
Reliable James Olley at ESPN also suggests Arsenal are considering the highly-rated sporting director and have added him to their list of potential targets.
Dan Ashworth is believed to have a close relationship with Arsenal's managing director Richard Garlick, who is leading the club's search for a replacement for Edu.
The pair worked together at West Bromwich Albion which means a potential move to Arsenal could be on the cards.
