Arsenal are reportedly close to extending Declan Rice’s contract.

Last week, BBC reporter Sami Mokbel exclusively revealed that Arsenal had opened talks with Rice over a new long-term deal.

Now, an update has emerged on his situation.

Transfer expert Nicolò Schira claims that Rice is just “one step away” from signing a new contract at the club.

Only minor details remain to be finalised, including the contract length.

All parties are keen to complete the deal, which would see the England international commit his long-term future to the Emirates Stadium.
