Bournemouth are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri in January.
The 18-year-old has struggled for regular minutes under Mikel Arteta this season, despite signing a new five-year contract last summer.
With first-team football considered crucial for Nwaneri’s continued development, speculation over a potential January loan move has intensified in recent weeks.
Now, The Independent’s chief football writer Miguel Delaney reports that Bournemouth are keen on a deal for the highly-rated midfielder.
The south-coast club are in the market for attacking reinforcements, with Antoine Semenyo closing in on a move to Manchester City.
Bournemouth would be open to a loan deal until the end of the season. However, it is understood Nwaneri’s preference is to remain at Arsenal for the rest of the campaign and fight for his place.
If the teenager were to leave the Gunners this month, a move to a major club abroad would be his preferred option.
