After 12 Premier League matches Arsenal trail Premier League table toppers Liverpool by nine points, making reinforcements in January a necessity.

Well, we all know Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus suffered a knee injury during the World Cup game against Cameroon. A few days ago there were initial reports in Brazil stating that Jesus would be out for 3-4 weeks. The injury was not thought to be serious.

Last night's performance was really unacceptable. Very far from good. Liverpool totally dominated us, from start to finish unfortunately. Looking at the lineup ahead of the game, I felt quite confident to be honest. But starting the three most expensive players in Arsenal's history, Auba, Laca and Pepe, turned out to be completely wrong. No signs...

Tonight we will play the first leg against the Portuguese side Benfica in round of 32 in the Europa League. The evening's game will be played in Rome and the second leg (next week), will take place in Athens, Greece.
