Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the situation of Elche midfielder Rodrigo Mendoza.
The 20-year-old played a crucial part in the Spanish club’s promotion to La Liga last season, making 24 appearances.
This season, Mendoza has made nine appearances so far.
He now appears to have attracted transfer interest from several major European clubs.
Spanish outlet Información reports that Arsenal are among the sides tracking Mendoza, with Gunners officials understood to have travelled to Spain to take a closer look at the talented midfielder.
However, Mikel Arteta’s team would likely face stiff competition for his signature, as Manchester City, Real Madrid and Juventus are also interested in a potential deal.
Mendoza is believed to have a £17.6m release clause in his current Elche contract.
