Arsenal have reportedly identified AS Roma right-back Wesley Franca as a potential summer target.
The 22-year-old Brazilian joined the Serie A giants from Flamengo last summer in a deal worth around €25m.
Franca has enjoyed an impressive debut season in Italy, registering four goals and two assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.
His form has attracted interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Arsenal keen on Franca
According to TEAMtalk’s transfer insider Graeme Bailey, Arsenal have added Franca to their shortlist of targets.
The Gunners are expected to make changes to their defence ahead of next season, with right-back Ben White increasingly likely to leave the Emirates.
As a result, Mikel Arteta’s side are exploring potential replacements, with Franca among the names under consideration.
Arsenal have closely monitored the defender’s progress this season, with their interest described as “significant”. The player is also believed to be aware of Arsenal’s growing interest.
It is understood Everton are also interested in the Brazilian full-back, whose current Roma contract runs until the summer of 2030.
