Atletico Madrid are reportedly keen to quickly wrap up the signing of Atalanta midfielder Ederson, with Arsenal’s interest viewed as a potential threat.
The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a summer move to Diego Simeone’s side in recent weeks, with Atletico understood to have already submitted an official offer.
However, they could now face stiff competition to secure his signature.
Arsenal could enter transfer battle
Spanish outlet Marca reports that several English clubs, including Arsenal, are also considering a move for Ederson.
Atletico Madrid are aware of the growing interest in the Brazilian midfielder and have accelerated talks in an attempt to finalise a deal.
Arsenal are among a number of European clubs holding a long-term interest in Ederson, whose contract at Atalanta is set to expire at the end of next season.
