Arsenal are reportedly in direct talks with defender Jurrien Timber over a new contract.
The 24-year-old joined the Gunners from Ajax in July 2023 in a deal worth around £38m.
Since his arrival at the Emirates, Timber has become a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s side. The club are ready to reward the Dutchman with an improved deal.
According to transfer insider Sam Cohen, Arsenal are currently holding positive discussions with Timber’s representatives.
No agreement has been reached yet. However, all parties are keen to continue together. There is optimism that a deal will be finalised in due course.
